658/852 عن سهل بن سعد: إن كانت أحب أسماء علي رضي الله عنه إليه لأبو تراب، وإن كان ليفرح أن يدعى بها، وما سماه(أبو تراب)إلا النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم؛ غاضب فاطمة، فخرج فاضطجع إلى الجدار إلى المسجد، وجاءه النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم يتبعه، فقال(1): هو ذا مضطجع في الجدار، فجاء النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم وقد امتلأ ظهره تراباً، فجعل النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم يمسح التراب عن ظهره، ويقول:"اجلس أبا تراب!".
الترجمة الإنجليزية
Sahl ibn Sa'd reported: The most beloved name to Ali (may Allah be pleased with him) was Abu Turab, and he used to be delighted when called by it. No one named him Abu Turab except the Prophet (peace be upon him). He had angered Fatimah, so he went out and lay down against the wall near the mosque. The Prophet (peace be upon him) came looking for him. Someone said: 'There he is, lying by the wall.' The Prophet (peace be upon him) came and found his back covered in dust, so he began wiping the dust from his back, saying: 'Sit up, O Abu Turab (Father of Dust)!'
