Muhammad ibn 'Amr ibn 'Ata' reported that he visited Zaynab bint Abi Salamah. She asked about his sister's name. He said: Her name is Barrah. She said: Change her name, for the Prophet (peace be upon him) married Zaynab bint Jahsh, whose name was Barrah, and he changed it to Zaynab. When he married Umm Salamah, my name was Barrah. He heard her call me Barrah and said: 'Do not claim purity for yourselves, for Allah knows best who among you is righteous and who is sinful. Name her Zaynab.' So she is Zaynab.
