Ibn Abi Nu'm reported: I was present with Ibn Umar when a man asked him about the blood of a mosquito. He said, 'Where are you from?' He said, 'From the people of Iraq.' He said, 'Look at this man! He asks me about the blood of a mosquito while they killed the grandson of the Prophet, peace be upon him! I heard the Prophet, peace be upon him, say: "They — meaning al-Hasan and al-Husayn — are my two fragrant flowers of this world."'
