حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ مَسْلَمَةَ، عَنْ مَالِكٍ، عَنْ أَبِي الزُّبَيْرِ، عَنْ طَاوُسٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ، أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم كَانَ إِذَا قَامَ إِلَى الصَّلاَةِ مِنْ جَوْفِ اللَّيْلِ يَقُولُ " اللَّهُمَّ لَكَ الْحَمْدُ أَنْتَ نُورُ السَّمَوَاتِ وَالأَرْضِ وَلَكَ الْحَمْدُ أَنْتَ قَيَّامُ السَّمَوَاتِ وَالأَرْضِ وَلَكَ الْحَمْدُ أَنْتَ رَبُّ السَّمَوَاتِ وَالأَرْضِ وَمَنْ فِيهِنَّ أَنْتَ الْحَقُّ وَقَوْلُكَ الْحَقُّ وَوَعْدُكَ الْحَقُّ وَلِقَاؤُكَ حَقٌّ وَالْجَنَّةُ حَقٌّ وَالنَّارُ حَقٌّ وَالسَّاعَةُ حَقٌّ اللَّهُمَّ لَكَ أَسْلَمْتُ وَبِكَ آمَنْتُ وَعَلَيْكَ تَوَكَّلْتُ وَإِلَيْكَ أَنَبْتُ وَبِكَ خَاصَمْتُ وَإِلَيْكَ حَاكَمْتُ فَاغْفِرْ لِي مَا قَدَّمْتُ وَأَخَّرْتُ وَأَسْرَرْتُ وَأَعْلَنْتُ أَنْتَ إِلَهِي لاَ إِلَهَ إِلاَّ أَنْتَ " .
الترجمة الإنجليزية
Hadrat Abdullah ibn Abbas (may Allah be well pleased with them both) narrates that when the Beloved Messenger of Allah (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) stood for prayer in the middle of the night, he would say: 'Allahumma lakal-hamd, Anta nurus-samawati wal-ard. Wa lakal-hamd, Anta qayyamus-samawati wal-ard. Wa lakal-hamd, Anta Rabbus-samawati wal-ardi wa man fihinn. Antal-haqqu wa qawlukal-haqqu wa wa'dukal-haqqu wa liqa'uka haqqun wal-Jannatu haqqun wan-Naru haqqun was-Sa'atu haqq. Allahumma laka aslamtu wa bika amantu wa 'alayka tawakkaltu wa ilayka anabtu wa bika khasamtu wa ilayka hakamtu. Faghfir li ma qaddamtu wa akhkhartu wa asrartu wa a'lant. Anta ilahi la ilaha illa Ant' (O Allah, to You belongs all praise — You are the Light of the heavens and the earth. To You belongs all praise — You are the Sustainer of the heavens and the earth. To You belongs all praise — You are the Lord of the heavens and the earth and all that is therein. You are the Truth, Your word is truth, Your promise is truth, meeting You is truth, Paradise is truth, Hellfire is truth, and the Hour is truth. O Allah, to You I submit, in You I believe, upon You I rely, to You I turn, by You I argue, and to You I refer for judgment. Forgive me what I have done before and after, what I concealed and what I declared. You are my God; there is no god but You).
الترجمة الأردية
حضرت عبداللہ بن عباس رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہما سے مروی ہے کہ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم جب رات کے وقت نماز کے لیے کھڑے ہوتے تو فرماتے: «اللّٰهُمَّ لَكَ الْحَمْدُ أَنْتَ نُورُ السَّمٰوَاتِ وَالْأَرْضِ وَلَكَ الْحَمْدُ أَنْتَ قَيَّامُ السَّمٰوَاتِ وَالْأَرْضِ وَلَكَ الْحَمْدُ أَنْتَ رَبُّ السَّمٰوَاتِ وَالْأَرْضِ وَمَنْ فِيهِنَّ، أَنْتَ الْحَقُّ وَقَوْلُكَ الْحَقُّ وَوَعْدُكَ الْحَقُّ وَلِقَاؤُكَ حَقٌّ وَالْجَنَّةُ حَقٌّ وَالنَّارُ حَقٌّ وَالسَّاعَةُ حَقٌّ، اللّٰهُمَّ لَكَ أَسْلَمْتُ وَبِكَ آمَنْتُ وَعَلَيْكَ تَوَكَّلْتُ وَإِلَيْكَ أَنَبْتُ وَبِكَ خَاصَمْتُ وَإِلَيْكَ حَاكَمْتُ فَاغْفِرْ لِي مَا قَدَّمْتُ وَأَخَّرْتُ وَأَسْرَرْتُ وَأَعْلَنْتُ أَنْتَ إِلٰهِي لَا إِلٰهَ إِلَّا أَنْتَ» (اے اللہ! تیرے لیے حمد ہے — تو آسمانوں اور زمین کا نور ہے، تیرے لیے حمد ہے — تو آسمانوں اور زمین کو قائم رکھنے والا ہے، تیرے لیے حمد ہے — تو آسمانوں اور زمین اور جو کچھ ان میں ہے سب کا رب ہے۔ تو حق ہے، تیرا فرمان حق ہے، تیرا وعدہ حق ہے، تیری ملاقات حق ہے، جنت حق ہے، دوزخ حق ہے اور قیامت حق ہے۔ اے اللہ! تیرے لیے سرِ تسلیم خم کیا، تجھ پر ایمان لایا، تجھ پر بھروسہ کیا، تیری طرف رجوع کیا، تیری مدد سے جھگڑا کیا اور تجھ سے فیصلہ مانگا — پس بخش دے جو پہلے کیا اور بعد میں، جو چھپایا اور جو ظاہر کیا — تو میرا معبود ہے، تیرے سوا کوئی معبود نہیں)۔
