حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ حَنْبَلٍ، حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ، عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ، عَنْ سَالِمٍ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، قَالَ رَأَيْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم إِذَا اسْتَفْتَحَ الصَّلاَةَ رَفَعَ يَدَيْهِ حَتَّى يُحَاذِيَ مَنْكِبَيْهِ وَإِذَا أَرَادَ أَنْ يَرْكَعَ وَبَعْدَ مَا يَرْفَعُ رَأْسَهُ مِنَ الرُّكُوعِ - وَقَالَ سُفْيَانُ مَرَّةً وَإِذَا رَفَعَ رَأْسَهُ . وَأَكْثَرُ مَا كَانَ يَقُولُ وَبَعْدَ مَا يَرْفَعُ رَأْسَهُ مِنَ الرُّكُوعِ - وَلاَ يَرْفَعُ بَيْنَ السَّجْدَتَيْنِ .
الترجمة الإنجليزية
Hadrat Abdullah ibn Umar (may Allah be well pleased with them both) narrates: 'I saw the Beloved Messenger of Allah (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) — when he (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) commenced the prayer, he would raise his blessed hands until they were level with his blessed shoulders. (He did the same) when he intended to bow and after raising his blessed head from bowing.' Sufyan once said: 'And when he raised his head.' And most often he would say: 'After raising his head from bowing.' He (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) would not raise his hands between the two prostrations.
الترجمة الأردية
حضرت عبداللہ بن عمر رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہما فرماتے ہیں: میں نے رسول اللہ صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم کو دیکھا کہ جب آپ صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم نماز شروع کرتے تو اپنے دونوں ہاتھ مبارک کندھوں تک بلند فرماتے، اور جب رکوع کرنا چاہتے اور رکوع سے سرِ اقدس اٹھاتے (تو بھی ایسا فرماتے) — سفیان نے ایک بار کہا: اور جب سر اٹھاتے — اور زیادہ تر وہ یوں کہتے: رکوع سے سر اٹھانے کے بعد — اور دونوں سجدوں کے درمیان ہاتھ نہیں اٹھاتے تھے۔
