حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْعَلاَءِ، أَنَّ شُعَيْبَ بْنَ إِسْحَاقَ، حَدَّثَهُمْ عَنْ هِشَامِ بْنِ عُرْوَةَ، عَنْ وَهْبِ بْنِ كَيْسَانَ، عَنْ جَابِرِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ، أَنَّهُ أَخْبَرَهُ أَنَّ أَبَاهُ تُوُفِّيَ وَتَرَكَ عَلَيْهِ ثَلاَثِينَ وَسْقًا لِرَجُلٍ مِنْ يَهُودَ فَاسْتَنْظَرَهُ جَابِرٌ فَأَبَى فَكَلَّمَ جَابِرٌ النَّبِيَّ صلى الله عليه وسلم أَنْ يَشْفَعَ لَهُ إِلَيْهِ فَجَاءَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم وَكَلَّمَ الْيَهُودِيَّ لِيَأْخُذَ ثَمَرَ نَخْلِهِ بِالَّذِي لَهُ عَلَيْهِ فَأَبَى عَلَيْهِ وَكَلَّمَهُ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم أَنْ يُنْظِرَهُ فَأَبَى . وَسَاقَ الْحَدِيثَ .
الترجمة الإنجليزية
Hadrat Jabir ibn Abdullah (may Allah be well pleased with them both) narrates that his father (may Allah be well pleased with him) passed away leaving a debt of thirty wasqs (a measure of dates) owed to a Jewish man. Hadrat Jabir (may Allah be well pleased with him) asked him for a deferment, but he refused. Hadrat Jabir (may Allah be well pleased with him) spoke to the Noble Prophet (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) requesting him to intercede with the creditor on his behalf. The Beloved Messenger of Allah (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) came and spoke to the Jewish man, asking him to accept the fruit of the date-palm garden in lieu of what was owed to him, but he refused. Then the Beloved Messenger of Allah (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) asked him to grant Hadrat Jabir a deferment, but he refused that as well. Then the narrator related the rest of the tradition.
الترجمة الأردية
حضرت جابر بن عبداللہ رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہما بیان فرماتے ہیں کہ ان کے والد (حضرت عبداللہ بن عمرو بن حرام رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہ) کا انتقال ہو گیا اور اپنے ذمے ایک یہودی کے تیس وسق (کھجور) کا قرض چھوڑ گئے۔ حضرت جابر رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہ نے اس سے مہلت مانگی تو اس نے انکار کر دیا۔ حضرت جابر رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہ نے نبی اکرم صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم سے بات کی کہ آپ اس سے سفارش فرمائیں۔ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم تشریف لائے اور یہودی سے بات فرمائی کہ وہ اپنے قرض کے بدلے میں ان کے کھجور کے باغ کے پھل لے لے، مگر اس نے انکار کر دیا۔ پھر رسول اللہ صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم نے اس سے فرمایا کہ حضرت جابر کو مہلت دے دے، اس نے اس سے بھی انکار کر دیا۔ اور راوی نے باقی حدیث بیان کی۔
