نا نا هُشَيْمٌ، قَالَ: أنا أَشْعَثُ، عَنِ الشَّعْبِيِّ، قَالَ: قَالَعَبْدُ اللَّهِ:" السُّنَّةُ بِالنِّسَاءِ فِي الطَّلاقِ وَالْعِدَّةِ".

Al-Sha'bi reported that Abdullah ibn Mas'ud (may Allah be pleased with him) said: "The Sunnah in divorce and waiting period follows the status of the women."

نا هُشَيْمٌ، قَالَ: أنا يُونُسُ، عَنِ الْحَسَنِ، وَابْنِ سِيرِينَ , أَنَّهُمَا كَانَا يَقُولانِ ذَلِكَ.

Al-Hasan al-Basri and Ibn Sirin used to say the same: "Divorce and the waiting period follow the women."

نا خَالِدٌ، عَنْ يُونُسَ، عَنِ الْحَسَنِ، مِثْلَ ذَلِكَ.

The same was narrated from al-Hasan al-Basri through another chain.

نا حَمَّادُ بْنُ زَيْدٍ، عَنْ أَيُّوبَ، عَنْ مُحَمَّدٍ، وَالْحَسَنِ، أنهما كانا يقولان:" الطَّلاقُ وَالْعِدَّةُ بِالنِّسَاءِ".

Muhammad (ibn Sirin) and al-Hasan used to say: "Divorce and the waiting period follow the women."

نا سُفْيَانُ، عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ دِينَارٍ، عَنْ عِكْرِمَةَ، قَالَ:" يُطَلِّقُ الْمَمْلُوكُ الْحُرَّةَ ثَلاثًا، وَيُطَلِّقُ الْحُرُّ الْمَمْلُ...

'Ikrimah said: "A slave may divorce a free woman three times, and a free man may divorce a slave-woman twice."

نا أَبُو مُعَاوِيَةَ، قَالَ: نا الأَعْمَشُ، عَنْ إِبْرَاهِيمَ، قَالَ:" الطَّلاقُ وَالْعِدَّةُ بِالنِّسَاءِ".

Ibrahim al-Nakha'i said: "Divorce and the waiting period follow the women."
