صلت الملائكة على آدم فكبرت عليه أربعا

"The angels prayed the funeral prayer over Adam and said four takbirat."

أمرنا أن نقرأ على ميتنا بفاتحة الكتاب

"We were commanded to recite Surah al-Fatihah over our deceased."

من صلى على جنازة فى المسجد فلا شىء له

"Whoever performs the funeral prayer inside the mosque, there is no reward for him."

يتروك الغريق يوما وليلة ويدفن

"Leave the drowned person for a day and a night, then bury him."

ادفنوا موتاكم وسط قوم صالحين فإن الميت يتأذى بجار السوء كما يتأذى الحى بجار السوء

"Bury your dead among righteous people, for the deceased is harmed by a bad neighbor just as the living is harmed by a bad neighbor."

إن لكل بيت بابا وباب القبر من تلقاء رجليه

"Every house has a door, and the door of the grave is at the feet."

للمرأة ستران: القبر و الزوج

"A woman has two veils: the grave and the husband."

عذاب القبر حق فمن لم يؤمن به عذب فيه

"The punishment of the grave is real, and whoever does not believe in it will be punished in it."

أن رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم رش على قبر ابنه إبراهيم الماء ووضع عليه الحصباء

"The Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) sprinkled water on the grave of his son Ibrahim and placed pebbles on it."

طول مقام أمتى فى قبورهم تمحيص لذنوبهم

"The long stay of my Ummah in their graves is a purification for their sins."

من عزى مصابا فله مثل أجره

"Whoever consoles an afflicted person will have a reward equal to his."

لا تظهر الشماتة لأخيك فيرحمه الله ويبتليك

"Do not show glee over your brother's misfortune, lest Allah shows mercy to him and tests you."

لعن رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم زائرات القبور

"The Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) cursed women who frequently visit graves."

من زار قبر أمه كان له عمرة

"Whoever visits the grave of his mother, it is as if he performed Umrah."

لا يسلم عليهم أحد الا ردوا اليه يوم القيامة

"No one sends greetings of peace upon the dead except that they will return it to him on the Day of Resurrection."

كسر عظم الميت ككسره حيا فى الاثم

"Breaking the bone of a dead person carries the same sin as breaking it while he was alive."

ويسمعون؟ قال ويسمعون ولكن لا يستطيعون أن يجيبوا

"(Abu Razin asked: 'O Messenger of Allah,) do they hear?' He said: 'They hear, but they are unable to respond.'"

إن الله تعالىٰ ليدخل على أهل القبور من دعاء أهل الأرض أمثال الجبال...

"Allah sends upon the people of the graves, through the supplications of the people of the earth, blessings as great as mountains."

من ترك التزوج مخافة العيلة فليس منا

"Whoever abandons marriage out of fear of poverty is not one of us."
