'Ata', Tawus, and Mujahid said: "No one should touch the Quran - or they said: the mushaf - unless he is in a state of purity."

Ibn 'Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) said: "Buy mushafs but do not sell them."

قَالَ: أَخْبَرَنَاإِسْمَاعِيلُ بْنُ زَكَرِيَّا، عَنْلَيْثٍ، عَنْمُجَاهِدٍ، عَنِابْنِ عَبَّاسٍرَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ، مِثْلَهُ.

A similar narration is reported from Ibn 'Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) through another chain.
